22/02/07 - Question de rythme  L'ancien
CER (Centre d'Emission Radio) de Port aux Français, désormais
affecté au Patrimoine des Taaf.Or, ce changement de rythme dans nos « productions » est encore une participation à notre action de chercheur. Après la période de récolte de données - fussent-elles négatives - et des premières présentations « à chaud » et quasi quotidiennes depuis le terrain, nous sommes entrés dans une nouvelle phase de notre recherche, celle de l'analyse de ces données, de leur mise en forme pour un compte-rendu  Catalogage
des bouteilles rapportéesde la Baie de l'Observatoire. Patience, patience,C'est donc un travail à bas bruit, mais un travail tout de même ! Et précisément, ce travail n'est pas a priori celui de l'organisation puis de la structuration des seules idées. Les témoins que, par la fouille, nous ont légués les divers occupants du site sont des témoins matériels. Ce sont les restes des structures immobilières effondrées, d'une part, et les éléments mobiliers exhumés, les fameux artefacts, d'autre part. Ceux-ci, encore partiellement enrobés de leur gangue de terre, doivent être nettoyés, consolidés, décrits sur des fiches à fortes teneurs et typologique et technologique, inventoriés et classés. La seule rédaction d'une fiche descriptive qui fait appel à un large spectre de connaissances peut demander plusieurs heures. Tandis que le géomètre topographe de l'équipe dessine les cartes du site et les plans de la fouille mettant au propre, en particulier, les plans des structures immobilières, les archéologues se sont réfugiés dans leur « nouveau » laboratoire. Sur une des hauteurs qui dominent Port aux Français, les Taaf leur ont laissé une bâtisse qui abritait, il y a peu encore, les installations du C.E.R. (Centre d'Emission Radio) maintenant partiellement réinstallées dans la « ville » même. A terme, cet ancien C.E.R. pourrait devenir un embryon de musée où serait présentée une rétrospective de l'histoire de la radio et des communications dans les Taaf.  Marquage

now affected to Taaf Heritage.We have met our both goals: that of sharing through the web the activities of the archaeology's fieldwork, and that of fulfilling your expectations... At least partially these expectations, since some of our website visitors have remarked our recent, relative silence, and have even not hesitated to tell us! But, this change of rhythm in our 'productions' is also linked to our research activities. After a period of data gathering - even if negative - and of the almost daily on line 'hot' presentations from the fieldwork excavations, we have now entered into a new phase of our research work: the analysis of the data, their preparation for reports and for publications that should bring answer to the Cataloguing
the bottles brought back from Observatory Bay.Patience, patience,This work is much more low profile, but the work goes on! Precisely, this work does not consist only of organising and then structuring ideas...The material remains of the different occupants of the site revealed by the fieldwork excavations are physical evidence: on the one hand, the remains of the buildings collapsed framework and on the other hand, the domestic remnants exhumed, the famous artefacts. These, still partly enrobed in sods of earth, need to be cleaned, pieced together, described in detail on record sheets integrating both typological and technical information for drawing up the inventory and cataloguing. The mere writing up of a record sheet, drawing on a large spectrum of expertise, often requires many hours of work. During the time the surveyor- topographer of the team draws maps and plans of the excavated site, putting the finishing touches particularly to the plan for the framework of the building, the archaeologists retreat to their 'new' laboratory. On top of a hill overlooking Port aux Français, the Taaf have attributed us a building that until a short while ago, housed the C.E.R (Centre d'Emission Radio, Radio Transmission Station) now relocated closer to 'town'. The C.E.R, now redundant could be the germ for a new museum presenting a retrospective of Taaf's radio and communications history. Marking
the bottles bases.22.02.07 - Eine Frage des Rhythmus Altes
CER Gebäude (Centre d'Emission Radio) in der Nähevon Port aux Français, das jetzt vom Amt für Denkmalschutz in den TAAF genutzt wird. Somit haben wir einerseits über das Internet unsere archäologischen Arbeiten einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung stellen können und andererseits hoffentlich den Leser nicht gelangweilt. Die Erwartungen mancher Leser konnten in letzter Zeit jedoch nicht ganz erfüllt werden, da, wie von einigen unserer Leser richtigerweise bemerkt worden ist, in letzter Zeit nur wenige Artikel veröffentlicht wurden. Diese sicherlich nicht im Interesse aller liegende Verlangsamung hängt mit den anderen Arbeiten, die nun zu verrichten sind, zusammen. Nach den intensiven Arbeiten auf der Grabungsfläche und den fast täglichen Artikeln darüber muss nun andere Arbeit vollbracht werden: Die gesammelten Daten muss man analysieren Katalogisierung
der Flaschenaus der Beobachtungsbucht. Patience, patience,Die Arbeit macht aber trotzdem Fortschritte, auch wenn es langsamer von statten geht! Genau gesagt besteht diese Arbeit nicht nur daraus, Ideen zu organisieren und zu strukturieren ... die materiellen Überreste von den verschiedenen ehemaligen Bewohnern der Grabungsfläche sind physische Beweise: auf der einen Hand sind hier die die Überreste von den Gebäuden zu nennen und andererseits, die Kleinfunde, die berühmten Artefakte. Diese sind immer noch teils in Grassoden dreckig von der Erde, so dass die Notwendigkeit besteht, dass sie sauber gemacht werden, zusammengefügt und beschrieben werden. Katalogisierungsarbeiten und das Erstellen eines Inventars sind auch nötig. Diese Arbeiten sind nervenaufreibend und dauern viele Stunden. Derweil der Topograph weiterhin fleißig am Zeichnen von Karten und am Erstellen von Plänen und Rekonstruktionszeichnungen der alten Gebäude ist, haben die Archäologen ein altes Haus, das etwas außerhalb von Port aux Français auf einer kleinen Anhöhe gelegen ist und früher das C.E.R (Centre d'Emission Radio, Radiostation) war, von der TAAF zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen. Diese Funkstation ist nicht mehr in Betrieb, seit das neue zentraler gelegene C.E.R. in Betrieb genommen wurde. Aus dem alten C.E.R. könnte man nun ein Museum für Radio- und Kommunikationsgeschichte in den TAAF machen. Markierung
